Certificate course in Buddhist Studies

 

This course is primarily an introduction to Buddhist Studies is meant for the students who have no basic knowledge of Buddhism. It requires no knowledge of the Pāli and Sanskrit languages nor prior acquaintance with Buddhist texts. 

 

The Course consists of the following units:

1. History of Early Buddhism

2. Fundamental Doctrines of Buddhism

3. Introduction to Mahāyāna Buddhism

4. Buddhism and Society

 

Date of Commencement: 6th September, 2014

 

Time: 2:30 to 5:30pm every Saturday and Sunday

 

Duration: One Year

 

Admission Requirements:

■ Pass in SPM or equivalent, or

■ Pass in the GCE (General Certificate of Education) O Level examination or equivalent examination, or

■ Any other Qualification approved by MyBA Curricula Board
